I'd Like To Help

There are 3 ways to support overburdened foster families amidst the Covid19 crisis:

1. Give financially to Every Child, to deploy much-needed funds for emergency efforts on behalf of foster families statewide.
   
2. Meet tangible needs of foster families in your community through Every Child's My NeighbOR initiative.
3. Purchase much-needed items for the Oregon City DHS office through this Amazon Wish List.

With Love, Oregon provides 120 Portland foster families each month with necessary resources such as diapers, blankets and books. Help support their efforts during this difficult time in one of three ways:

1) Gift Card Donations

• Email to: allieroth@withloveoregon.org (**Please write "Gift Card Donation" in the gift card message) OR mail to: With Love, Oregon, 14555 SW 74th Ave, Tigard, OR 97224

2) Donate to their General Fund so that they can buy essential items that are being requested at discounted bulk rates from Costco and Walmart.

3) Shop our Amazon Registry for the items currently needed. Items received at With Love, Oregon will be delivered directly to the families in need.

The Community Care Initiative (CCI) is a collaborative effort between the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Clackamas County Health, Housing & Human Services, and the Oregon Food Bank. Under CCI, based out of the Public Safety Training Center in Clackamas, a team of Sheriff's Office employees and volunteers will call seniors in Clackamas County and ask if they need food, medicine, or household supplies. Volunteers will pack care boxes and make home deliveries to impacted seniors with any needed items.

You can donate to or volunteer for the Community Care Initiative by making calls to seniors, assembling care boxes at the Public Safety Training Center, or making deliveries in your vehicle. To apply, please email our volunteer team at CCIvolunteer@clackamas.us. Volunteers must fill out an application and waiver, and will be subject to a basic background check before beginning volunteer service.

All operations require relevant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and the latest distance recommendations from health authorities.

Meals on Wheels’ vision is that no senior would go hungry. Many of their delivery drivers are elders themselves and have stopped delivering meals because of the health risks. If you are interested in volunteering, sign up on their website.

The Portland Rescue Mission is looking for volunteers to help serve our neighbors on the streets during these desperate times. The Portland Rescue Mission has implemented many health practices to keep all volunteers safe while serving. For example, volunteers will have no physical contact with incoming guests - they'll be in the kitchen, which is deep-cleaned multiple times each day, boxing up meals while maintaining social distance with each other.
